Lincoln Square, located in the center of Washington’s vibrant East
End, is destined to become a landmark development, both
in its design and its function. The building contains 332,000
square feet of prime commercial office space, street-level
and below-grade retail space, and a three-level parking
garage. Designed by Hartman-Cox Architects, the firm responsible
for many of Washington’s finest commercial developments,
the building incorporates a number of historic facades in
a completely contemporary office building. The result is
a timeless addition to the Capitol’s streetscape. The building
was the recipient of Washington Business Journal’s Best
New Office Development Award of 2001.
The building’s eleven floors of Class A office space range in size
from 23,000 to 36,000 square feet. The floor plates have
been designed to maximize perimeter office space and planning
flexibility. The building’s mechanical and electrical systems
are designed to meet the demands of office tenants well
into the next millennium.
